1 / Where do I get onboard?

We can pick you up just about anywhere, but our main departure points are from C Dock, Village Cay Marina, Road Town Tortola. Please be advised that additional fees may apply for areas not listed here.

2 / What do I need to bring with me?

While everything you need is included onboard for a great time out, don’t forget to bring a costume, sunglasses, camera, ID card and cash and a smile.

3 / Is there a bathroom onboard?

There is no head aboard Apotheoseas however, rest-assured our captain will ensure plenty of stops at the islands where you can make use of the facilities available.

4 / How many people can join the charter?

Apotheosis has a 12-guest capacity, but her amenities are best enjoyed in smaller groups. Our captain recommends 6-8 people on board for the perfect experience.

5 / What is the cancellation policy?

In the event of a cancellation of your booking, every effort will be made to fill the date of your tour with another booking, and if successful, the fees will be returned. If unsuccessful, any cancellations after monies have been paid will be charged as the scale below. 

 

You or any member of your group may cancel your booking at any time. Written notification or an email from you (the Group Leader) must be received at our email. To cover our expected losses there is a set scale of charges that applies.

 

The date of cancellation is the date of the receipt of written advice or email to Quintessence Charters office. NOTE: if the reasons for your cancellation are covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges i.e., necessary cancellation due to injury or illness etc.

6 / What are the cancellation charges?

Cancellation charges are payable as follows:

  • Seven days prior to commencement date: a full refund

  • 7 Days of commencement date:  70% of total sum

  • Less than 7 Days of commencement date: No refund

 

Cancellation due to operational reasons:

We reserve the right to cancel any of our tours due to operational reasons. In this event all fees will be refunded unless alternative dates are acceptable.

 

Alteration:

Quintessence Charters will, wherever possible, try to arrange any alterations you may request after the contract is formed. Alteration requests must be made in writing/email to Quintessence Charters by the Group Leader. Alterations requested more than 4 weeks in advance of your departure date, such as change of tour date or group numbers will be accepted if possible. Major alterations within 4 weeks of course date (such as change of tour date) will be treated as a cancellation and re-booking.

7 / Do we tip the staff and captain?

It is customary in the BVI to tip your captain 15-20% of your charter price, if you have had an outstanding day - we are certain you will and if you are inclined to tip cash is preferred.
